It’s funny how the smallest of things can bring incredible amounts of joy or incredible levels of sadness.
Something as simple as a snide comment or rude gesture from someone you love is enough to send you reeling as you struggle to comprehend the meaning and reasons behind the blow to your emotional stability. You can spend all day considering the many indecipherable clues left as to why the person wanted to hurt you or why those things were said and done. But in the grand scheme of things it is small and inconsequential. If what was said or done is shrugged aside and the reasons behind it are ignored it can soon be forgotten and you can continue to live your life without that weight.
The small things that bring you happiness and joy however, are to be revered, something as small as a kind word or being close to an item that floods you with positive emotion can lead you to enjoy a good life and what more can people truly ask for in the unguessable amount of years that they have on this planet?
In conclusion, don’t sweat the small stuff, but revel in the joy that comes from simple pleasures.
Life is too short.
